New Deutsch Industrial Electrical Contact
LADD Industries is pleased to announce the addition of size 20 contacts engineered to accept 16-18 awg to the Deutsch Industrial product line. Deutsch Industrial connectors are innovative, environmentally sealed solutions for heavy duty applications and harsh environments. In the Common Contact System, Deutsch has engineered a structure of contacts, tooling processes and terminations universal to the multiple Deutsch Industrial connector series.
The size 20 solid terminals are barrel-type crimp style contacts rated at 7.5 amps each, and meet all standard Deutsch Industrial specifications. Standard size 20 solid contacts accept 20-24 awg. The new #20 pin and socket, part numbers 0460-010-2031 and 0462-005-2031 respectively, will accept 16-18 awg, and can be used anywhere a size 20 contact is required, expanding the selection of connectors for each application. The contacts are visually differentiated from the standard #20 contacts by a purple stripe. The 0460-010- 2031 and 0462-005-2031 are gold plated, and a nickel plated version is expected to be released later this year.
