Amphibious vehicle builder Coast Machinery finds Murphy's instrument panels answer to perplexing "make or buy?" dilemma.
For 27 years, Louisiana-based Coast Machinery LLC has manufactured amphibious tracked vehicles used by electric utilities, contractors, surveyors, environmental companies, oil and gas companies, government entities and others to access otherwise inaccessible wetlands. The company's machinery--the Marsh Master MM-1 and MM-2 models--is available for purchase, lease or rent, depending on customer needs. Coast said it designs and builds its machinery for durability in a package that can range deep into wetlands with ease, confidence and with a light footprint for minimal environmental impact.
