Term	Definition
Flange	A projection extending from a connector, and having holes for mounting a connector to a panel. Usually used with receptacles.
Flange Seal	Environmental seal between connector flange and panel.
Front Seal	Environmental seal between the entire interface of mating connectors. The seal itself is usually found on plugs. Also referred to as interfacial seal.
